We arrive in full protective gear and conduct a thorough property assessment to locate all hornet nests and activity zones. For example, we inspect eaves, shrubs, structure corners, wall voids, attics, crawlspaces, and in-ground areas where hornets often build and expand nests throughout the summer season.

We apply a targeted knockdown treatment using professional-grade dust or aerosol directly to the hornet nest while wearing full protective gear. In August, as Pacific Northwest temperatures drop and hornets become more aggressive while defending their dying colonies, we work fast to neutralize the nest and apply a residual barrier treatment around the area to eliminate returning foragers over the next 48 to 72 hours.

We return within 48 to 72 hours to remove the neutralized nest and conduct a thorough inspection of the surrounding area for any remaining hornet activity. During this August follow-up, we check for late-season stragglers that may have been away from the colony during initial treatment, verify the residual barrier is holding strong against Pacific Northwest rain, and ensure no secondary nests exist nearby that could pose a threat as temperatures continue to drop.
