We begin with a detailed inspection to identify the carpet beetle species and locate all infestation sources throughout your home. For example, we check wall voids where rodent activity may have occurred (a common carpet beetle attractant), inspect closets for damage to wool garments or blankets, examine stored materials in cupboards, and investigate areas under appliances where larvae often hide in accumulated lint and debris.

After identifying all carpet beetle sources and infestation points, we apply targeted residual insecticides to every affected area throughout your home. We treat wall voids where the beetles originated, all closets and storage areas containing vulnerable materials, the spaces beneath appliances where lint accumulates, and any other locations where larvae or adult beetles were discovered during our inspection.

We return for a critical follow-up inspection 7-14 days after the initial treatment to assess results and address any remaining carpet beetle activity. During this visit, we check all previously treated areas for live larvae or adults, inspect stored materials and fabrics for new damage, verify that wall voids and hidden spaces remain protected, and apply additional targeted treatments to any locations showing continued activity.
Summer’s warm conditions make this follow-up essential, as any beetles that survived the first treatment by hiding in deep wall voids or protected corners will emerge seeking food sources during their active season.
