We begin with a detailed inspection of your property to identify boxelder bug activity and entry points. Our technician examines the exterior foundation, siding, window frames, door thresholds, and any cracks or gaps where these distinctive red-and-black insects congregate during summer as they seek warm shelter sites.

For example, we focus on south-facing walls where boxelder bugs cluster in large numbers, attracted to the warmth these surfaces absorb during hot summer days.

We treat pests where they live

After identifying boxelder bug hotspots, we apply a targeted residual insecticide treatment to all exterior surfaces where these insects gather. Our technician focuses on south and west-facing walls, foundation cracks, window casings, door frames, siding gaps, and utility penetrations using professional-grade products that create a protective barrier lasting through August’s temperature fluctuations when boxelder bugs attempt final entry before summer dormancy.

We also treat nearby boxelder and maple trees where possible, since female boxelder bugs deposit eggs in bark crevices during warmer months, and treating these source areas now reduces next season’s population pressure on your home.
