About us

We are Puyallup's trusted experts in wood beetle solutions.

When wood-boring beetles threaten your Puyallup home this Summer, PCI Pest Control delivers comprehensive treatment solutions backed by an 18-month limited re-treatment warranty. We apply heated Bora-Care treatment to all exposed lumber in your crawlspace or attic, penetrating deep into the wood to eliminate destructive larvae at their source.

Our wood-boring beetle service includes up to two free inspections within the warranty period, giving Puyallup homeowners complete peace of mind. We require insulation removal prior to treatment to ensure thorough coverage of all affected lumber. While new emergence holes may appear after treatment, this doesn’t necessarily indicate live infestation—our warranty covers re-treatment if live activity is detected during August or throughout the coverage period.

What sets us apart in Puyallup is our transparent approach to wood-boring beetle remediation. We provide custom quotes based on your specific infestation scope, and we’re upfront about the conditions that maintain your warranty: proper insulation removal, moisture control, and adequate ventilation. Our experienced technicians understand Pacific Northwest wood-boring beetle behavior and deliver targeted treatments that protect your home’s structural integrity for years to come.

Our Process

Our Process: Expert Wood-Boring Beetle Treatment in Puyallup

We pride ourselves on a simple, straight forward no-frills process.

You call, we inspect and diagnose

Our process begins with a mandatory Peace of Mind Inspection, where we meticulously examine your Puyallup home’s crawlspace and attic for signs like exit holes or powdery frass, which are common as beetle activity increases with the damp summer weather. This comprehensive diagnosis results in a detailed report with annotated photos, identifying all exposed lumber that will require our specialized heated Bora-Care treatment.

We treat pests where they live

In the second step, we apply a heated Bora-Care treatment directly to all exposed lumber in areas like your attic and crawlspace. For example, after any necessary insulation is removed, this product penetrates deep into the wood to eliminate the beetle larvae living inside.

We report our findings, and create a plan

In the third step of our wood-boring beetle treatment process, we provide you with a comprehensive written report detailing all findings from our heated Bora-Care application, including treated areas, any new emergence holes discovered during August increased beetle activity season, and specific recommendations for maintaining the low-moisture, well-ventilated crawlspace conditions that are critical in Puyallup’s summer climate. We then establish your 18-month limited re-treatment warranty program with scheduled follow-up inspections, ensuring we monitor for any live activity while explaining that new holes may appear as treated larvae complete their life cycle, which is completely normal and doesn’t indicate treatment failure or warrant concern during the summer emergence period common to our Pacific Northwest region.

We Offer Residential & Commercial Pest Control Options In Puyallup

Whether you need pest control for your home or business, we have you covered.

Residential pest control Puyallup

We treat wood-boring beetle infestations with heated Bora-Care applied directly to all exposed lumber in your crawlspace or attic. This treatment penetrates deep into the wood to eliminate larvae feeding inside the timber. For example, we typically remove insulation to ensure complete coverage of all structural wood, then apply the borate solution that stops the infestation at its source and provides long-term protection against future activity.

Commercial pest control Puyallup

We protect Puyallup’s commercial properties from wood-boring beetles with comprehensive treatment solutions tailored to warehouses, office buildings, retail spaces, and industrial facilities throughout the area. Our approach involves applying heated Bora-Care to all exposed lumber in crawl spaces and attics, which penetrates deep into the wood to eliminate larvae at every stage of development. We back our work with an 18-month limited re-treatment warranty, and we understand the unique challenges that Puyallup’s climate presents for wood structures, especially in older commercial buildings near the valley where moisture can create ideal conditions for these destructive pests.
