Our Process

Our Process: Expert Wood-Boring Beetle Treatment in McKinney

We pride ourselves on a simple, straight forward no-frills process.

You call, we inspect and diagnose

Our process begins with a mandatory Peace of Mind Inspection, where a licensed technician thoroughly examines your entire McKinney property, including the attic and crawlspace, to diagnose the extent of the infestation.

We specifically look for evidence like fine, powdery frass near exit holes in timbers, a critical step during the warm and humid conditions of a Texas summer in August when beetle larvae are most active.

We treat pests where they live

We apply a heated Bora-Care treatment directly to all exposed lumber where the beetles live and breed. For example, we thoroughly treat the wood beams and joists in your attic or crawlspace, ensuring the product penetrates deep into the lumber to eliminate the destructive larvae within.

We report our findings, and create a plan

In the third step of our Wood-Boring Beetle treatment process, we provide you with a comprehensive report documenting all findings from our heated Bora-Care application, including detailed photos of treated areas and any new emergence holes that may appear during McKinney’s active August beetle season when increased humidity can accelerate larval activity. We then establish an 18-month limited re-treatment warranty with up to two free inspections, creating an ongoing post-treatment monitoring plan that protects your home through Texas summer and summer months when wood-boring beetles are most likely to emerge from treated lumber.

We Offer Residential & Commercial Pest Control Options In McKinney

Whether you need pest control for your home or business, we have you covered.

Residential pest control McKinney

Our wood-boring beetle treatment in McKinney protects your home’s structural integrity with heated Bora-Care applications to all exposed lumber in affected areas. We typically remove insulation before treatment to ensure the product penetrates deep into the wood, eliminating larvae at their source. For example, we apply the heated solution directly to joists, rafters, and framing members in your attic or crawlspace, creating a protective barrier that stops the infestation and prevents future damage.

Each treatment comes with an 18-month limited re-treatment warranty. We’ll return for free if you detect live activity during that period. You also get up to two complimentary inspections within the warranty window, giving you peace of mind that your investment is protected.

New emergence holes may appear after treatment, but this doesn’t necessarily mean the infestation is still active. We’ll help you understand what to look for and when to call us back. Our warranty remains valid as long as moisture issues, ventilation problems, or high humidity don’t compromise the treated areas.

Commercial pest control McKinney

We protect McKinney’s commercial properties from wood-boring beetles with comprehensive heat-treated Bora-Care applications to all exposed lumber in affected areas. Our service covers warehouses, office buildings, retail spaces, restaurants, and industrial facilities throughout the McKinney area where these destructive pests threaten structural integrity. For example, we typically remove insulation to ensure thorough penetration, treat all accessible wood surfaces to eliminate larvae, and back our work with an 18-month limited re-treatment warranty that includes up to two free inspections if new activity is detected.
