About us

Meet your local Spanaway stinging insect control experts.

When stinging insects invade your Spanaway property this Summer, PCI Pest Control delivers fast, effective solutions backed by our comprehensive All Seasons Protection Plans. We don’t just knock down visible nests and leave—we treat wall voids with professional-grade Tempo Dust, apply residual barriers using Termidor SC and Bithor SC to prevent returning foragers, and physically remove neutralized nests when accessible. For those hard-to-reach yellowjacket colonies burrowed in your yard or hidden behind siding, we combine knockdown dust with liquid residuals and can even excavate ground nests if activity persists, ensuring your family can enjoy outdoor spaces safely throughout August and beyond.

What sets us apart in Spanaway is our commitment to thorough, lasting protection rather than quick fixes. We suit up in full protective gear to access attics and crawlspaces where hornets and wasps often build undetected colonies, and we provide honest guidance about wall void treatments—including the option to open access points with your permission, though we’re upfront that drywall repairs aren’t part of our service. Our quarterly maintenance plans include free callback visits for covered pests, and we back our work with detailed documentation of every treatment applied, so you always know exactly what’s protecting your home.

Our Process

Our Process: Expert Stinging Insect Removal in Spanaway

We pride ourselves on a simple, straight forward no-frills process.

You call, we inspect and diagnose

Our process begins with a meticulous inspection where our licensed technicians thoroughly examine your Spanaway property for signs of stinging insect activity, which becomes more prevalent in the summer.

We search for active nests from common pests like yellowjackets and wasps in typical August hiding spots such as eaves, wall voids, and even in-ground burrows to accurately diagnose the scope of the infestation.

We treat pests where they live

Our second step involves the direct treatment of stinging insect nests right where they live and breed in your Spanaway home. For example, we may apply a knockdown dust like Tempo® Dust to accessible nests in eaves, use a liquid and dust combination for in-ground yellowjackets, or perform a thorough void dusting for hornets hidden inside wall cavities.

We report our findings, and create a plan

After neutralizing the stinging insect threat, we provide a detailed report of our findings and document all treatments applied to your Spanaway property. We then establish an ongoing post-treatment monitoring plan to ensure yellowjackets and wasps don’t return during August peak nest-building season, when Pacific Northwest colonies are rapidly expanding and foragers are most active around homes near the Spanaway Lake area.

Service Types

We Offer Residential & Commercial Pest Control Options In Spanaway

Whether you need pest control for your home or business, we have you covered.

Residential pest control Spanaway

We tackle stinging insects like yellowjackets, wasps, and hornets with a multi-product approach tailored to each situation. For example, we use PT Wasp Freeze for immediate knockdown on accessible nests, Tempo Dust for wall voids and hard-to-reach areas, and residual treatments like Termidor SC or Bithor SC to prevent returning foragers from re-establishing colonies. Our technicians assess each nest location carefully, whether it’s hanging from your eaves, buried in your yard, or hidden inside a wall void, then apply the right combination of dusts, aerosols, and liquid treatments to eliminate the threat and keep your Spanaway property safe throughout the season.

Commercial pest control Spanaway

We protect Spanaway’s commercial properties from stinging insects with targeted treatments designed for the unique needs of local businesses. Our team services warehouses, office buildings, retail centers, restaurants, and industrial facilities throughout the area, understanding that yellowjackets and wasps pose serious risks to both employees and customers in our Pacific Northwest climate.

For example, we conduct thorough inspections of building exteriors, loading docks, and outdoor dining areas to locate nests in eaves, wall voids, and ground locations common to Spanaway properties. We use professional-grade dusts and residual treatments to eliminate colonies and prevent foraging insects from returning, often completing work during off-hours to minimize disruption to your operations.

Our approach includes follow-up monitoring and seasonal prevention strategies that keep your commercial space safe year-round, with particular attention during summer and early summer when stinging insect activity peaks in the Spanaway area.

Our Pricing

Our Pricing & Plans That Fit All Budgets

Our stinging insect control services in Spanaway start at $325 for one-time treatments, with accessible nests typically handled same-day using professional-grade products and protective equipment. For ongoing protection against wasps, hornets, and yellowjackets, we include stinging insect coverage in our All Seasons Protection Plan at $275 initial and $51 monthly, which covers quarterly treatments plus free callbacks if they return between visits. We handle everything from ground nests to wall voids to attic colonies, and while most activity is neutralized during service, we recommend staying clear of treated areas for 2-3 days as foraging insects may return briefly before the treatment fully takes effect.
