Expert Stinging Insect Control Services for Lakewood Homes
As summer brings warmer weather to Lakewood, stinging insects like wasps, hornets, and yellowjackets become increasingly active around homes and properties. We provide comprehensive stinging insect control services, from treating accessible nests in eaves and shrubs to handling more challenging situations like in-ground yellowjacket colonies and wall void infestations.
Our technicians use professional-grade products and protective equipment to safely neutralize nests, remove them when possible, and apply residual treatments to prevent returning foragers. Whether you’re dealing with a single nest or multiple problem areas, we’ll assess your property and deliver effective solutions to keep your family safe throughout the season.
About us
When stinging insects invade your Lakewood property this Summer, PCI Pest Control delivers fast, effective solutions backed by our comprehensive All Seasons Protection Plans. We don’t just knock down visible nests and leave. We treat the entire area with professional-grade products like Tempo Dust and Termidor SC, remove neutralized nests when accessible, and apply residual barriers to prevent returning foragers from rebuilding.
Our technicians arrive in full protective gear to safely handle everything from accessible wasp nests under your eaves to challenging in-ground yellowjacket colonies and hidden hives in wall voids or attics. For example, when treating yellowjackets nesting in your lawn, we combine knockdown dust with liquid residuals to eliminate the colony at its source, and we’ll even excavate if activity persists. Most importantly, our stinging insect control is included in your quarterly ASPP service at just $52 per month, with free callbacks if those aggressive August swarms return between scheduled visits.
What sets us apart in Lakewood is our commitment to complete elimination, not temporary fixes. We locate every entry point, treat inaccessible areas through thorough void dusting, and provide clear safety guidance so your family can enjoy your yard again within 2-3 days of treatment.

Our Process
01
Our process begins with a comprehensive inspection of your Lakewood property to diagnose the specific stinging insect threat, as overwintering queens like yellowjackets and paper wasps actively build new nests in the summer.
We meticulously check common nesting sites such as under eaves, within wall voids, or in ground burrows, which allows us to identify the species and create a precise plan for safe and effective nest removal.

Service Types
We tackle stinging insects like yellowjackets, wasps, and hornets with a multi-product approach tailored to each situation. For example, we use PT Wasp Freeze for immediate knockdown on accessible nests, Tempo Dust for wall voids and hard-to-reach areas, and residual treatments like Termidor SC or Bithor SC to prevent returning foragers from re-establishing colonies. Our technicians wear protective gear when needed and can handle everything from ground nests to attic infestations, removing neutralized nests when possible and treating the surrounding area to keep your Lakewood property sting-free.
We protect Lakewood’s commercial properties from stinging insects with targeted treatments for warehouses, office buildings, retail centers, and industrial facilities throughout the area. Our approach starts with a thorough inspection to locate nests in eaves, wall voids, loading docks, and landscaped areas, then we apply professional-grade products like Tempo Dust and residual treatments to eliminate colonies and prevent foraging insects from returning. For businesses near Joint Base Lewis-McChord or along the Tacoma-Lakewood corridor, we understand that yellowjacket and wasp activity can disrupt operations and pose safety risks to employees and customers, which is why we offer rapid response service and ongoing monitoring to keep your commercial space protected year-round.
