Our Process

Our Process: Effective Boxelder Bug Control in Tacoma

We pride ourselves on a simple, straight forward no-frills process.

You call, we inspect and diagnose

Our process begins with a thorough inspection to diagnose the boxelder bug issue, focusing on the sun-drenched southern and western walls of your Tacoma home where these pests gather in the summer.

We then identify specific entry points, for example, we look for cracks around windows, gaps under siding, and unsealed utility lines that allow these pests to get inside as the August weather warms.

We treat pests where they live

We then apply a professional-grade residual insecticide to the areas where boxelder bugs are actively gathering. For example, this includes treating the sunny exterior walls of your home, along with dusting any accessible wall voids or attics where they may be overwintering.

We report our findings, and create a plan

After completing treatment, we provide a detailed report documenting all boxelder bug activity found during your Tacoma service, including the clusters often seen on south-facing walls during August warming temperatures. We then establish an ongoing post-treatment monitoring plan with quarterly visits to ensure these occasional invaders don’t return as temperatures fluctuate through summer and into the Pacific Northwest summer months.

Service Types

We Offer Residential & Commercial Pest Control Options In Tacoma

Whether you need pest control for your home or business, we have you covered.

Residential pest control Tacoma

Our boxelder bug control service in Tacoma targets these seasonal invaders with precision treatments designed for Pacific Northwest conditions. We apply residual liquid insecticides to exterior foundations, entry points, and sunny areas where boxelder bugs congregate, creating a protective barrier that prevents them from entering your home during their peak summer activity. For example, we treat south-facing walls, window frames, and door thresholds where these bugs gather to warm themselves before attempting indoor migration.

This service is included in our All Seasons Protection Plan (ASPP), All Seasons Insect Plan (ASIP), and All Seasons Protection Plan Plus (ASPP+), with free callback visits if boxelder bugs appear between your scheduled quarterly treatments. We combine targeted exterior applications with crack and crevice treatments around potential entry points, ensuring comprehensive protection during the times of year when boxelder bugs are most active in the Tacoma area.

Our approach focuses on both immediate knockdown and long-term prevention, using professional-grade products that remain effective throughout the season while staying safe for your family and pets once dried. We also provide recommendations for reducing conducive conditions, such as sealing gaps and managing vegetation near your foundation, to minimize future boxelder bug pressure on your property.

Commercial pest control Tacoma

We protect Tacoma’s commercial properties from boxelder bug invasions with targeted treatments designed for the unique challenges of Pacific Northwest businesses. Our team services office buildings, retail spaces, warehouses, restaurants, and multi-unit residential complexes throughout the Tacoma area, where boxelder bugs often congregate on sun-facing walls throughout the summer.

We start with a thorough inspection to identify entry points and congregation areas, then apply residual treatments to exterior surfaces and seal vulnerable gaps to prevent indoor migration. For ongoing protection, we include boxelder bug control in our commercial pest management plans with quarterly maintenance visits and free callbacks if activity returns between scheduled services.

Our approach combines immediate knockdown treatments with long-term prevention strategies, ensuring your Tacoma business stays protected during peak boxelder bug season without disrupting daily operations.
